In the middle of a global pandemic, President, and Principal of Focus Commercial Real Estate, Butch Gurganus, along with his founding partners, began the firm with the vision of building client relationships based on trust and expertise. Butch oversees the day-to-day operations of the firm and serves as the principal broker. His expertise in office and industrial leasing and sales allows him and his associates to provide excellent service to the approximately 1,600 Walmart and Sam’s Club suppliers located in Northwest Arkansas.

Prior to founding Focus, Butch’s commercial real estate career began in 1999, when he provided due diligence services for Home Depot’s New Store division while employed at Greenberg Farrow Architecture in Atlanta, Georgia. He then worked for Robert Pattillo Properties, located in Atlanta, where he was involved with the development team for the firm’s California land holdings. In 2005, Butch moved to Northwest Arkansas to join Colliers International. He became a Principal and Executive Vice President, leading their office and industrial team for 15 years. Butch and his team completed over 1,000 transactions with a transaction volume worth over $500,000,000.

Butch is an active member of the Northwest Arkansas Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM)Chapter and the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR). He obtained his CCIM Designation in 2004 and his SIOR Designation in 2007. Butch graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (BLA) and received his Master of Business Administration from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee.

Butch as a strategy driven mind which is where his passion for investing comes from. He loves seeing all the pieces come together on a sale and being a part of that process. Starting a commercial real estate business during a pandemic was not easy, but he knows it was worth it for all the help he has given this community.
